4 years ago today, at 7:51am, we welcomed our 8lb 7oz baby boy into this world!
Today he’s our strong-willed, determined, and shy “big boy”.
I still can’t believe he’s 4.

You are still quite the reserved boy. You don’t like to talk to strangers, but once you warm up to them you’re good. It does take you awhile to get there though. I would say you have true “only child” syndrome. You’re pretty good about sharing when we ask you too, but to do it on your own, well you have a hard time sharing anything that is yours. You are known to have temper tantrums and we are trying to work on that. We’re also working on manner, saying please and thank you more consistently . You still favor momma and love to snuggle with mommy.

You are still are pretty picky eater, but you’re starting to try new things! You’ve even tried salmon, even though I told you it was chicken. You like chicken, taco meat, steak meat. You like your burgers plain and dry, and that is how your order it too. You still love milk and drink a cup with every meal.

You still have your toddler bed. I’ve been contemplating buying you a big boy bed. Our bedtime routine is still the same. We brush your teeth, read books, pray, sing, and then lights out. You still like to pick out your own books to read before bedtime. You still want me to lay in bed with you while you fall asleep. You still have an occasional nap at school, usually between 12:30-2:00pm. I can always tell when you haven’t had a nap, because you get really grumpy, whiney, and don’t want to listen to what we are asking you to do.

You are still in pull-ups at night, so we probably need to start working on that. Most mornings you wake up with a dry pull-up. I think if we can eliminate your drinking after 6 or 7pm you would be okay.
