Easter Basket Must-Haves for a 2 year-old

March 3, 2016

Easter is just around the corner and I’ve been planning on what will go into Mason’s basket this year. When I was growing up, every year we would receive an easter basket from our parents. Even as teenagers we got one. It was one of the many ways that we celebrated Easter.
Now that I have a child of my own, I love creating gift baskets for him to celebrate holidays, especially Easter and Valentine’s Day. I always try to incorporate something that signifies what Easter is really about. I pray that he grows up to understand that we are celebrating God’s resurrection on this special day.
Here are a few of my must haves for Mason’s Easter Basket this year.
1. Cars (similar pack here)- Mason loves cars, as I’m sure most two-year old boys do. He can’t ever have enough. I found an Easter pack of 4 at Target, but really any 4 or 5 pack would be perfect, because lets be honest they aren’t even going to look at the packaging.

2. Bunny Sippy Cup– Mason really likes these cups from Target. They sell one for every holiday, and Mason has all of them.

3. Personalized Easter Basket (Leelynn Crafts on Etsy)- I purchased this embroidered Easter basket liner on Etsy for Mason’s very first Easter. I wanted something that we could use over and over again throughout the years. I purchased the basket at Hobby Lobby and it fit perfectly. This year will be our 3rd time using it.

4. Easter Book– Every year I have purchased book about the meaning of Easter. This book is perfect, and he is currently obsessed with stickers, so I think he will love it. This is the first book I bought him for his first Easter. Here is the book I bought him last year.

5. PJ’s– I get Mason some sort of clothing item every year, whether it be PJ’s or a new outfit. These are super cute and I love what they say.

6. Easter Eggs– How fun are these little gems?! I haven’t put easter eggs in his basket before, but I will this year and I might fill some with a few gummy bears. Candy is a rarity in our house, so it will be a little treat for him.

7. Converse– I love Converse on boys, and my boy has had quite the collection of them since he was barely walking. He is outgrowing his navy converse. I just bought him white converse, so I think grey is his next color. They will get us thru the spring and then I’ll have to get him more for the summer.

PJs are the best because they are practical and super cute! I love Target's holiday sippy cups and I think it's awesome you have a collection from past holidays 🙂
