Well, we have some exciting news!!!! If you’ve been around and have seen me on IG then you know that for awhile we were talking about possibly moving back to Texas in the next few years. Decisions regarding moving or staying never come easy. It’s a decision that requires a lot of thought process and tons of weighing out of options.
Never the less, we have decided to stay in Iowa. This decision was best for our family and the future of our family, and we are going to build, again. What can I say we like to build homes! I think the most exciting part of building is that we get to make our own selections and make the house our own. We did consider just buying a home, but the reality is that we’ve done that once and, while it was fine, there were a lot of changes that we wanted to make to the home. Keeping this in mind, we looked at a couple of homes that would have fit our family well, but we would have had to make a few cosmetic changes. So, WE ARE BUILDING!!!
This has been a few months process and we started with one plan and then changed to another. We do have a budget, so with that in mind we changed the plan to get exactly what we wanted. The first floor plan we had was a 2-story with a basement, but I’ve had a ranch style home in my mind for a long time. I knew that I wanted my next home to be a one story home, so we changed our home floor plan to a ranch style home with a basement. I’m super excited about building this home and selecting what we want and making it a home that we will hopefully be in for a LONG time.
