Grandparents Day

October 7, 2019

This past weekend I flew my mom into town to spend Grandparents day with Mason. He was excited and really looked forward to showing her around his new school.

It was a short day for him so the festivities only last for a few hours.

It started with breakfast in the gym for the grandparents and each grade performed either a song or a story.
Then the grandparents got to go to their classrooms to show them around.
Showing his nana something that he made.
They had activities in the art room. They each colored and decorated a bear of which would be hung up in the school.
He showed her the library and at the end they had a propped picture area to take photos. A few weeks later they will send a card and a copy of the picture to each of the grandparents. Such a nice and thoughtful gift.
Overall, they enjoyed it. My mom really was glad that even though we live so far away now she still got to come and spend time with him. I’m glad that she was able to come and that he could still experience this day with her, because I would never want him to feel left out.
