Life in Iowa

August 1, 2019

We’ve been in Iowa for a few weeks and we have been doing some exploring. I’m pretty sure we’ve seen it all and now we can move back to Texas…I’m kidding, kind of. We did find a summer festival at a local church, but it must have been the hottest day of the year here because it was hot and we were sweating.

We’ve also been able to check out a local area called The Amana Colonies. It’s a really cute old original small German town. They have little local shops and eateries. My favorite is the Christmas shop.

We’ve been to the movies a few times, but with school coming up soon we’ve also been practicing our letter, numbers and simple words.
And I can’t forget, this boy has lost so many teeth. They just keep falling out. I’m convinced he’ll be toothless soon.
Most importantly happening around here is that we are finally unpacked and it feels so good to finally be living a somewhat normal life.
