I’ve been so busy purging and cleaning out my closet this past week. Send some help!!
Yesterday, while I was sitting surrounded by the piles of clothes to take pictures of and giveaway, I received a phone call. It was Mason’s teacher. She started with “Hi Mrs. Cole. This is…we were in the hallway playing and Mason’s tooth fell out”.

Finally home and showing off his new new window. |
As a mom, the first thing that comes to your mind when you receive a phone call from school is “what happened to my child?”. Thank goodness it was nothing serious.
I was a little sad that I wasn’t there to witness his first tooth falling out. She said that he was scared and that he was a little freaked out. She went on to say that he had the tooth in his hand when his friends told them that his tooth fell out and that he got really pale, starting sweating and then told them that he felt like he needed to vomit. My poor child. All I could think about was how I wasn’t there to comfort him and reassure him, but I’m sure he teaches tried to.
After standing in the bathroom with him for a few minutes she asked him if he would feel better if he called and spoke with his mom. He told her yes, hence the phone call. He was tearful, but I told him everything was going to be fine and I understood that it was probably scary for him. I’m so thankful that I was off from work and that I was able to pick him up from school. He was so excited to show me his tooth and his new smile.
I wasn’t really prepared for this, I mean he just turned 5 a couple of months ago! Since I wasn’t prepared I had to quickly figure out a way to make this day special for him. I found the cutest miniature letter and envelope idea via pinterest, and it was a FREE printable. I linked it below. There were similar letters on Etsy, but they weren’t free! The printable that is provided had a pink background, so I changed ours to blue in the Word program. Super easy to do. Printing, cutting and gluing took me less than 5 minutes to put together and I used some twine to tie it all together.
He woke up and immediately said “I didn’t see any money under my pillow.” Ha! Once he found it I think he really liked that the tooth fairy wrote him a letter. He talked about it and asked questions about the tooth fairy all the way to school this morning.
