5 Things Getting Me thru 2019

January 4, 2019

Well the New Year is finally here and while some are making resolutions, I’m planning goals. One of my goals is to continue with my health and wellness journey, the other is to continue on our debt free journey. A journey isn’t something that happens overnight. It happens by putting one foot in front of the other, and sometimes going one step forward and two steps back. There are hills and there are valleys, but all that matters is that you give it all you’ve got on that journey and someday you’ll reap the rewards of your hard work.

There are five things that I’ll be using and referring to all year long to help me with our goals. So, if one or some of your goals are to work on your health and fitness, your debt free journey, or to work on your relationship with Him then one or more of these things might make your journey a little easier.

Daily Devotional
//
This is the daily devotional that I purchased for 2019. I personally love waking up a little earlier than my little guy and spending some quiet time reading my devotional. This devotional also has a journal if you like to journal. You can find it here.
Water Bottle
//
I drink water pretty regularly. It’s not one of my favorite things to drink, but I do drink what I need to daily. I also love me a good water bottle. It does motivate me to drink a little more water. I found this one that has motivational sayings and also has times on there so you can keep track of your water intake and ensure that you get your water in on time.
Deluxe Monthly Planner
//
This planner is my go-to for 2019. I’ll use this one specifically for my monthly budgeting. It’s all set up and I’m ready for success this year. If you’ve never owned an Erin Condren planner, you should try it just once. They are colorful and fun and have some motivating quotes inside. You can personalize your cover too. I have the one pictured above and the saying I chose was “Live Like No One Else”. If you know about Dave Ramsey, then you know all about that saying. If you want to order one, you can use my referral code and you’ll get $10 off your purchase.
Cash Envelopes
//
I’ve always been that person who only uses my debit card and I never carry cash. A few months ago we went to cash. So, for all things that aren’t auto debit, we take cash out for. I might have a separate post about this in the future, but for now I’ll just say that I’m using these magnetic cash envelopes for different categories of cash that I withdrawal money for.
Money Makeover
//
Speaking of Dave Ramsey, if you haven’t read this book you need to. It will change your life and how you look at money and spend money. This is a book I refer to often when I have questions about money/investments.
I hope you find some of these things helpful in your 2019 journey, because I know they’ll be helping me.
