I don’t know about you, but I am so glad today is Friday. I work tomorrow for 3 hours, but it’s the weekend so it doesn’t get any better than that. I love to read, I always have. My love for reading was put on the back burner for the past 2.5 years due to grad school. Now that I have a little extra time to do some leisure reading, I have a list of books on my TO-READ list. The five books are:
I’ve heard great things about this book and I’m currently reading it. There isn’t a book in the world that will teach anyone on how to raise a child, especially your child. I do think books are good to read, but I always keep in mind that my kid is one of a kind, as is your kid(s).
I cannot wait to dive into this book next week! I’ve read great reviews on this book and I’m ready to learn all about how to “get clean” by getting rid of starches and mainly sugar in my diet. I’m soooo addicted to sweet tea! Oh, and did I mention that she is Carrie Underwood’s personal trainer! Well, that sold me on this book! Now, if only I could have a personal chef and someone to slap my hand everytime I wanted a glass of sweet tea! I know, I should probably get on that thing we call “self- control”.
#3 Bringing Up Boys
I’m interested to see what advice this book provides about raising boys in today’s world. I pray daily that I’m raising a boy who is God-fearing and who someday knows what it means to be a loving and respectful man. I’m willing to read anything that will gives me additional guidance on how to do just that.

#4 Raising Grateful Kids in an Entitled World
I think I’m really going to like this read. Being a parent is tough. It is one of the toughest jobs. Being parents also means teaching your kids the difference between want and need. Teaching them to be grateful for what they have, instead of wishing that they had more. That is what the gist of this book is about.

#5 Hope Unfolding: Grace-Filled Truth for the Momma’s Heart
I talked about this here last week on Five Things Friday. The book is still on preorder. It will ship on Tuesday and I can’t wait for it to arrive.
Have a happy weekend! I’ll catch up with you all on Monday for my weekly Our Week post!
