Mason-Week 23

April 17, 2014

This week was great because mommy felt like she got to spend more time with you! I sure do miss spending my days with you and I pray that someday we’ll get to spend more days and time together. You seem to change every day and you seem to learn something new everyday! Here is how your week went:

  • This is your very first Easter, so on Friday mommy kept you home from day care and took you to meet the Easter Bunny! You did so well and you didn’t even cry, in fact you smiled…but I’m not surprised!
  • You’ve really started to stick your tongue out and spit! You love it and you think it’s the funniest thing ever!
  • On Saturday, you hung out with mommy all day while daddy was at work and you started eating baby food. Mommy started off with sweet potatoes. You really seemed to like it, until the end you seemed to be over it, but you did take 1 whole tablespoon like a champ! After a couple of days you developed a rash on your back so mommy had stop giving you the sweet potatoes to see if this is what was causing your rash. Guess we’ll find out.
  •  This week Ms. Tracy said that you are now holding your bottle on your own, with just a little bit of help when you drop it. I thought this was great news, so I texted your daddy to let him know and he said he already had you holding your bottle at home. Well, thanks for letting me know about this important milestone!
  • A few times this week you hung out with the “big” kids at Ms. Tracy’s. You sure do love to watch them play and I’m sure you’re loving being able to be with them. Ms. Tracy said that you are really starting to get around the room by scooting and using your elbows. She’s certain that soon you’ll be crawling everywhere.
  • This week you’ve been waking up every night once mommy gets home. I’m not sure what is going on but I’m praying that this does not become a habit and that this will pass. You and I both really need some sleep at night. You do fall right back asleep once I rock you, so for that I am grateful!
  • Your still taking 5 feeds a day and eating rice cereal at least once a day, but usually twice a day. You’re really beginning to like your rice cereal.
Just being silly after your Easter Bunny pics!

Your first Easter and your first picture with the Easter Bunny! You did so awesome!
Mommy’s little monkey!
Oh yes, that’s you my little handsome baby boy!

Sweet Easter gifts from Ms. Tracy and Mr. Nate.
Ugh! Not impressed with the rug burn that you have from crawling on the carpet.

So happy enjoying the Easter festivities at Ms. Tracy and Mr. Nate’s! Next year you’ll get to hunt eggs!
