Baby Boy,
This month you’re 5 months and next month you’ll celebrate your half birthday!! I know I constantly repeat myself, but time is going by far too quickly. I feel like it’s just passing me by. You seem to learn to do something new daily.
We’ve discovered that you have a tickle spot on your belly. You laugh and laugh when we tickle you…it’s the cutest thing ever. You’re beginning to scoot and spin on your tummy during tummy time. You’re almost completely sitting up by yourself. I think by next month you’ll have it down. You squeal and talk loudly, especially when you’re excited. You smile all of the time. You love attention and you love your exersaucer that your grandma bought you. You sure do love your daddy! You light up every time he walks into the room from work. You get so excited and just smile! It’s the cutest and sweetest thing ever.
You’re eating 6 ounces twice a day while at day care, since you are being fed every 4 hours. You are also nursing every 4 hours on the weekends. You get nursed in the morning before daycare, when we get home after daycare, and just before mommy leaves for work. You tried rice cereal for the first time. You weren’t quite sure what to think of it, but you ate some of it. We’ll just keep trying until you are completely ready for it.
Your daddy now has a nighttime routine with you and he’s successfully got you to fall asleep on your own. We’ve transitioned you to your pack ‘n play, but you still don’t like to sleep in it for long. Your dad usually has you in our bed by the time I get home at night. You still going to bed at 8:30pm and napping from 9:00-10:00 am, 12:00-3:00pm and 5:00-6:00pm.
