Mason-Week 21

April 3, 2014

My dear Mason Grey this week continued to be busy, busy for all of us. Here is how it went:

  • Friday mommy kept you home from daycare because 1) your grandma was flying into town for your baby dedication and 2) mommy received an email from Ms. Tracey saying that another kiddo at the daycare was diagnosed with RSV, so if anyone had a fever or a cough they needed to go to the doctor to be tested for RSV.
  • So, Friday mommy took you to see Dr. C because you still have a cough that has been persistent for two weeks. It is definitely getting better, but it is still there. Dr. C didn’t seem to think that you had RSV because you did not a fever, you weren’t wheezing and your oxygen saturations were 100%. She also did not want to do an RSV test, because it requires a nasal saline suction. Not fun for you at all!
  • Mommy took you to her work because I had something I needed to quickly get done. While we were there mommy took you to meet some of her co-workers. I know I’ve said it before, but they all loved you! They all talked about how happy and cute you are! You were showing all of them your gorgeous smile and you sure were loving the attention.
  • We picked grandma up from the airport and she was soooo happy to see you! You, daddy, grandma and I went and had lunch in downtown Grapevine and you slept the entire time!
  • We all went shopping on Saturday. You really enjoyed sitting in your stroller because you love people watching! As usual, mommy couldn’t NOT buy you anything. I never thought that I could enjoy shopping for a boy! I always tell daddy it’s a good thing that you weren’t a girl because we would be bankrupt from buying all of the cute girly things.
  • Sunday was your baby dedication (a whole other posting is required for this). Everything turned out so great and I’m thankful that your grandma could be there to see it. Afterwards, we took your grandma to the airport. It’s always so sad when she has to leave.
  • This week you are still taking 5 six ounce feedings throughout the day and you are still waking up once per night.
